Lab Statement:

In the Landry Lab, we believe that diversity of background, identity, and opinion are essential to maximize scientific innovation. As such, we are committed to fostering an equitable and inclusive research environment for all students, researchers, and administrators. Towards this end, we hold student-driven bi-annual diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) workshops, weekly DE&I Book Clubs, and uphold accountability from ourselves, our institution, and the broader STEM community. Although we have committed to these actions, we recognize that these are only the first steps towards the broader goal of creating a truly equitable research environment. Accordingly, we address concerns raised by all lab members by encouraging open and honest discussion within our lab. We encourage our colleagues in STEM to join us in this endeavor to create meaningful change.

.

The Landry Lab is committed to improving the community by continuing to study these important issues.

Our DE&I Book Club is hosted weekly and is open to everyone. Please contact the lab to learn more and join us!
